I began my weight loss journey on my 20th birthday at the end of March and by the beginning of October I had lost 60 pounds in 6 months. I maintained that weight until I started back up again in January after getting engaged at Christmas. Now I am down 70 pounds and counting!

I started gaining weight during my last year of high school and kept gaining even more weight after I started college. I had gone from 118 lbs at age 16 to 163 lbs at age 20! I was always trying to go on different diets and I would work out here and there, but I could never lose more than 5 lbs before I simply gave up and gained it back. My uncle did a similar program to this one in Tampa, and when I saw how much weight he lost in so little time, I looked for a weight loss center in Tallahassee so that I could do the same. I started the last week in December 2008, weighing in at 163.2 lbs. At first, I thought it was going to be so hard to eat ONLY 500 calories a day! I was so surprised when I found it hard to actually get up to 500 because I just wasn’t hungry! I lost 6.8 lbs in the first week alone, giving me the motivation to stay with the program. The problem I had sticking with other diets was that I didn’t see results quick enough and I lost my motivation. However, I continued to lose 3 lbs a week for the first couple of months on this program, so I knew I would lose the weight as long as I kept with it. By May of 2009, I was down to 120 lbs! The program at Lake Jackson Weight Loss Center has completely changed my life. Not only do I look and feel better, but I have so much more confidence in myself. I used to hate shopping because nothing I tried on looked good; now I buy new clothes all the time! I have gone from a size 12 to a size 4/6, so I also have a wider selection of stores, since many stores in the mall only carry up to size 10. I love my new body and I know that I’ll be able to enjoy it much longer now that I am living a healthier life!

I found out about the program through my church family at Kingsway Christian Church. I was at my heaviest weight ever, 231 pounds, and I felt awful. I couldn’t do a lot of things, and I did not feel good about myself at all. I am now 158 pounds and I feel wonderful!  I am not finished yet. The program at Lake Jackson Weight Loss Center was very easy for me! I am never hungry. I have plenty of energy, and I feel great about myself. The staff at Lake Jackson Weight Loss is very encouraging, and I don’t think I could have done it without them. The weekly visits are the highlight of my week. I know that this is the last time I will have to diet, because from now on, I will keep an eye on the scale. When I see it go up, I know to use the tools I learned at Lake Jackson Weight Loss Center to get it right back off!

In October 2006, I ran into a friend who had gone to work for a new weight loss clinic; she invited me to call her for an appointment. Well, I did NOT make that phone call, and a few days later I received a call from HER, and, well, an appointment I made. Who knew then that that chance meeting and her subsequent phone call encouraging me to make an appointment would change my life from that point forward?  I had been a "lanky" tall girl in my youth; a tomboy. As age took its toll, I began to have issues with weight gain. I'd lose it and gain it back. (Of course, the older you get, the harder it is to lose.) This program was the "ticket" for me. It has totally been a life-altering experience. I have changed my life-style...in more ways than one. But the changes have all been for the good. By the summer of 2007, I was 75 lbs. lighter...and I remain so. I have been able to maintain my weight and have made many other positive changes in my life as a result. I wholeheartedly give THIS weight-loss program my “life-time” seal of approval. It has changed my body. It has changed my mind. It has changed my life.
